Hercules to Malaysia despite possible Thai protest end

The airforce Hercules aircraft being sent to Malaysia to be on stand-by to help New Zealanders stranded in Thailand will remain there despite indications the Bangkok airport seiges will end.

Anti-government protest leaders in Thailand say they will halt all rallies including sieges of Bangkok's two airports, after a court banned Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat from politics for five years.
